My babby snapper?

He is missing the pointy tip of his tail will this affect his health when hes older? Will it be a stub? I know it wont grow back and i don't know how it happend it was broken in the beggining but now its just gone. He has about a 1.5 shell length and hes about 4-5 months old is that bad?
