Can I choose my own jurors in a Misdemeanor case if I am representing myself?

The procedure for both sides is the same: a panel of ptential jurors is seated, the judge can ask questions and dismiss jurors, then each side can question jurors, and move to dismiss any for cause that they don't like. There are also peremptory challenges, in which each side can dismiss a limited number of jurors for no stated reason.
