Making own tank decorations out of Scupley clay?

It is possible with no effects to the fish or quality of the water. I started making my own cichlid hideouts because the ones you find for sale are over priced and just not the style that I liked. I have made my own out of Sculpey clay and after baking put the clay hideouts in a tank with NO fish for several months and then tested the water. Everything was perfect!! Now my cichlid tank is full of vey happy cichlids with my own style of hideouts for each one. Just thought I would share to the ones that think that this is not possible.
